5 Year Consolidated Plan-
Each year, the State of West Virginia receives about $9 million in new federal funds under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In order to receive these yearly grants, the State must submit a five-year Consolidated Plan and Annual Updates to HUD for approval. The five-year plan describes the State and its priorities and objectives for the anticipated funds. Each Annual Update provides the specific activities to be funded for the given year and the amount of funding apportioned to each activity.
